Ive recently changed my mortgage from payment to interest only and I feel that Standard Life are taking the Mick.
My payment comes out on the 28th.
I called them on the 3rd to change my repayments to interest only.
Received the paper work, signed the box and sent it back
got a letter back stating I had to send ALL sheets back, even ones I didnt sign (seemed a bit pointless as they had sent me the sheet in the first place. sent sheet back on the 12th.
Got mail on the 29th saying my payment would change NEXT month as the 2nd sheet didnt arrive until the payment date of 28th i.e. it took 2 weeks for first class mail to arrive @ Standard Life.
I miffed but cant really argue.
Anyone else changed their mortgage payment with standard life in plenty of time only for them to take the unchanged payment the next payment day ???
(I am going to argue as the revised payment plan says it would start at the next payment date and I had 3 months responded. Even though the instruction arrived @ standard life after the payment date it was within the 3 months so should be backdated to the payment date on the revised plan)

That is not an uncommon response where multiple pages exist and you only send back a lower number. It stops you making an accusation later that you wrote something on the other pages and the provider doesnt have copies to prove you otherwise.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
