What will Payplan do if you miss payments?

Hi
My OH has found himself in a bit of a sorry state. He currently has an arrangement with Payplan which he has been in for a couple of years. In December he moved house and after reassessing his outgoings his payment changed. He went to his bank to start a standing order and left it to take the money each month when he got paid.
He got a letter the other day from one of the creditors saying that they will be taking legal proceedings. He phoned Paypal (took him ages to get through) and they told him that they have not had a payment since December. Turns out there has been a mistake and the money has been trying to go somewhere else but is being returned to his account due to the number being wrong.
He openly admits to never checking bank statements and as a result did not notice the money coming back in (I know, you would think that you would but he didnt). So he is really upset because a) he thought he had been paying but hasn't so has moved on no further in his quest to be debt free, b) he has been spending his £200 monthly payment 'somewhere' but its kind of invisible as to what on, because he never knew he had it!, c) he cannot get through to Payplan again and is panicking a bit about what they might do.
Does anyone know what happens if you miss payments like this? Will they cancel the arrangement they have with him?
Hopefully he can speak with them tomorrow but I just want to reassure him.
Thanks
H

Well I know that but he is rubbish at looking at bank statements etc. He did notice he had extra but did not investigate further at the bank etc...0

they will probably cancel the arrangement.as its been 3 months the creditors will start taking action. we only missed one and they threatened to take us to court for the balance.
i dont see how you cant not notice that your spending £200 extra a month without realising, surely he checks bank statements or they would have written to him almost certainly.0 -
If they were to cancel it, has he got any other options?0

Why dont you start looking at the statements for him?0
