muller- on special at Asda now 30p!!

Just been in local Asda - couldn't believe it - the muller lite yoghurts which have been 20p for the last couple of weeks are now 30p.
There's a massive display, twice as big as the previous one and tons of labels pointing to them.

They must think the public are thick as planks - increase them by 50% overnight, put up some bigger signs and people won't notice!

There's a queue of around 25 people at customer services - wonder if there's a connection?!

The standard price is more than 50p. That's still nearly half price. At least they let you buy individual pots unlike current Tesco offer where you have to buy five.

And it's not as annoying as the perpetual signs in Sainsbury's or Somerfield where you get a few pennies off if you buy three or four.

Or Sainsbury's other sneaky practice of having an offer like 4 of something for £1 for a couple of weeks and then the sign morphs into 3 of the same thing for £1 for another week or so.

They are all at it one way or another.
We use to do Asda and noticed how there cobs pack of 6 suddenly shrunk in size for the same price so we stopped getting them. And now low and behold Tesco have done the same.

Like Scottishminnie says do they think we are as thick as planks

it almost sounds like you are implying what the supermarkets are doing is illegal! if you are not satified then vote with your feet, i however willl continue to shop at waitrose, where its more expensive but at least the food is of a lot better quality and the staff there will assist you!

Somerfield have done the same - Tropicana £1.35 for one carton last week, this week the offer has gone up to £1.65 and you need to buy two. (Am I arguing against myself? ;))

I'll have to vote with my feet again soon: Tesco are wanting to open another Metro, this time in my local shopping street.

There are now 2 huge stores and three metros within a 5 mile radius - all 3 Metros destroying local businesses .

And their Muller offer is rubbish:rolleyes:

The bag for the life issue at Asda at the moment is getting way out of line. Today I went in after work and the woman on the till asked me if I had any bags of which I did not. She begrudingly gave me two and it was obvious it was not enough for the shopping I had. To cut a long story short I asked for another couple of bags and she looked at me and said the two she gave me should have been enough. It was obvious it was not so I asked her if she wanted to weigh them.

Was like bloody gestapo rule over a couple of bags of which I told her and maintained it was not Asda it was the government - erm ok then:rolleyes: I did actually tell her it was the way she put herself over to customers.

Off I went with my free bags which us customers have more than paid for in the price of our shopping to find a deal arl lady outside her shopping all over the floor because the handles had dropped off her carrier bag as she did not dare ask for another one.

Of course I did the right thing and went in and asked for a couple of bags from CS and happily packed the ladies bag in the two bags (good deed for the day). The lady turned round thanked me and said had she been given the two bags at the till this would have never have happened.

Get it together Asda gestapo bag police and listen to your customers.

  • The 15p trial pots at Sainsburys are way forward! I bought 6 of them other day, admittedly they only do the plain and strawberry flavours but still.
