Tesco Loan
Will try to keep this brief. I am a houseowner (no mortgage), have 3 part time jobs, receive WFTC and maintenance from my ex. I applied on line for a tesco loan of £8000 to do some much needed building work to my house. I received a letter saying loan had been approved in principle and asking me to send copies of most recent bank statement. I then received a phone call asking to send 2 more bank statements and asking permission to contact my main employer, which I gave. The employer received a letter asking for confirmation of my wages (I am paid cash) , hours worked etc in writing. He duly wrote to Tesco giving this information. Tesco then phoned him asking him to confirm he had sent the letter which he did. I am beginning to think they are going to turn me down, but can anyone suggest why? And if they do is it going to be worth my trying elsewhere or am I just a bad risk?
