Hello
I have just received my pension forecast from Aegon Scottish Equitable, I have a pot of £30,000, I now need advice as to where to put it, do I leave it with Scottish Equitable or would it be better to move it to another company?
Thanks.

See an IFA who can search the open market for you.0

You can get an idea of competitive rates here:
https://www.fsa.gov.uk/tables
Go to pension annuities and input details.
If you have health issues you may be able to get an enhanced rate.Consult an IFA for that.Trying to keep it simple...

Scot Eq sometimes come up with good rates but the open market option through an IFA should tell you who is best. Using an IFA at this stage is effectively a nil cost option. If you dont use an IFA but go with Scot Eq the money the commission they would pay the IFA would be kept by Scot Eq or they will pay it to the original adviser that set the plan up. If you use an IFA to do open market option and Scot eq is found to be best, Scot Eq will pay that IFA. If the IFA finds a better income for you, they will pay that IFA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
