I recenly bought an electric knife from M&S which is great for cutting bread yourself.0

Ours has a cutter and you can choose the thickness and I must say that I think it is the best bread that you can get from a chain of bakers.0

I bought that too.
£1 with two other purchases.
The thing with stuff like that, is I tend not to bother getting them out for simple things.0 -
Hi I am a manager at greggs , If its a "busy bread shop" we have a slicer if we sell more sanwichs cakes etc we don't. I think the loaf your reffering to is the extra bite loaf - we do it in brown and white.
Hope this helpsFatcheese - £21.78:beer:

Haven't been to Greggs for years - not since they stopped selling rolls. Everybody I mention this to agrees - we are all perplexed at their withdrawal from sale.0

The ones stacked on hot metal sheets and with a very smooth glaze-like surface - both light and well-fired. They are now no more and there are now just horrible fluffy crackly specimens that are more often than not wrapped in plastic to further degrade them.
Edit: "we bag loads every day!" - that's probably half the problem - you ruin them stuffing them in plastic bags.0 -
totally agree with you there Kim!Fatcheese - £21.78:beer:

I'd never heard of Greggs until 2 years ago. I just looked up why - and the nearest to me used to be 126 miles.
I've now seen the shops and been in once or twice, but it is intimidating - they're one of those places where they expect you to know what they've got/what you want... there's no time/space for a newbie to have a look around and ask questions.0 -
