Go easy on me pls...not a techie at all. I use vista and have now got some really useful data saved on 'my favourites'. Every now and then I get a message 'lastback up failed'-not enough room. So something wrong with the set up somewhere. The most important thing for me though is backing up 'my favourites'. Is there any way I can do this seperately to the other problem please, to ensure I at least keep these?

Just take a copy of the "favourites" folder which is in your users/username/ folder.
If you ever want to move machines, you just can copy that lot across.
If you had firefox - or install firefox - firefox will import all ie favourites to itself.
In firefox there is an Export feature to export all bookmarks to a file. The file can be imported into firefox later.0 -
IE also has the import/export feature - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211089Just take a copy of the "favourites" folder which is in your users/username/ folder.

Have a look at Foxmarks (http://www.foxmarks.com/) it will work with Internet Explorer and will enable you to back-up your favourites online and import them into any other computer you use.0
