Depends on whether you want to keep the hire purchase car???? Or do you mean you have sold it on??

If you have the car and want to keep it, then read the HP contract with a fine toothcomb as some have a BR clause where they will collect the vehicle.

If you have sold the car on, but not paid off the HP debt, then thats a bit naughty but its a proveable debt so can go into your BR. As long as you sold it for it correct value and not a really low amount.
  • i arrange for the car to be collected when i got a motability car

Ah... so they have the car back and you have a proveable debt. Don't worry about it - you haven't sold it for less than its worth and it went back under contract. Nothing the OR can do and I doubt they would care.
