i started a 2nd part time job and only ended up doing the induction, the job wasnt for me, so i told them i would not be coming back.

they have payed me for the 1 day and have sent me my P45,.... do i need to keep this?

it wasnt my main job, so was only on the temporary tax code 'BR'.

it says on the form to keep it and give to my new employer,... this shouldnt matter if i was on the temporary tax code anyway should it?

... and i still have my own tax code for my main job.

    keep it of course
although, assuming your other job is taxing you at the standard rate, there is no need to do anything with it.
and BR is NOt a temporary tax code but it's one used for second job so you were being taxed correctly.
