Pedometer

Looking to buy a Pedometer for a friend (Me I'm not into this keep fit).
The type I'm looking for is where you enter your step length, weight etc. It then counts your steps & converts these to total steps, distance, calories used. They cost about £10 about 12 months ago & I know at that time you could get them from Woolies.
As they cost so little I am looking for a high street store that still sells them (anywhere else and I am likely to pay nearly as much for the postage).
Thanks for any assistance.

Halfords were doing a range of these in Jan. I think the one which calculated calories was about £11-12.

I got one from Argos (a Reebok one) but it didn't work too well and I returned it, when I got measured up for some proper running trainers and asked their advice in the shop they didn't recommend any as they said they work off a ball-bearing function and aren't 100% accurate.2p off is still 2p off!0

Thanks for that but I think it is more for this "expert" advice that we should all walk 10,000 steps a day and a rough count is better than no count. I'm still a "no counter"0 -

I picked one up from Lloyds Pharmacy a few weeks ago for just £1.99 (was on special offer).
It's called a 'digital stepometer', has the following features & looks like this:
- Step counter
- Distance travelled
- Calories burnt
- Step alarm
- Clock
- Alarm
- Stop watch
It's not the most accurate (as you can imagine) but for £2 one can't do worse - if it's still in stock, that is!
They also do a SIM card backup for £1.99, but it's something I've yet to try/buy. G0
