sour skittles are a lot different to the normal skittles when you use them.........I've tried it with the sour skittles and to be honest it didn't taste the nicest.

Does anyone know how to make melon vodka?
I fell in love with this drink in Greece, but cannot find it in England.
    Would appreciate any recipes.

wow, I was only saying to my boyfriend the other night 'what are we going to do with all the bottles of vodka people keep giving us?' we dont even drink that much anyway so why people keep giving them to us as presents I dont know! Skittles idea sounds great, I've only ever made vodka jelly and its not really the time of year for that yet! thanks, i'll let you know how we get on, but might wait till the after effects have subsided! ? :rotfl:

Thanks for the pm a_B I can't find the original post but this is how I make it.

Get your bottle of vodka and put in a packet of skittles. You may need to pour out some vodka in case it overflows. If you are using a litre bottle of vodka you may want to use a large packet.

Put the bottle into the freezer - its quicker to make it and it will be colder which is far better when drinking raw vodka! lol

Leave it until all the colour has gone out of the skittles and into the vodka.

When its ready give it a good shake.

    Pour into shot glasses.

    down it in one! ;)

Note: Take the green skittles out before putting them into the bottle, they don't give it the nicest taste ;)

Thanks Wirm! :D I'e just done this, but I was surprised how fast the colour came off the Skittles: it was practically instataneous! I turned it up or down once or twice and now there are lots of bits hanging in the vodka - I think it will need filtering before drinking. I don't have a Brita filter - what do you guys use? Muslin cloth?

Can't wait until it's ready to drink...how long do you think it will take?

I just used a paper coffee filter to strain mine, but muslin would be great if you have it.
