Hi everyone,
I spent £2 on bus fares going to see my boss who had a baby last month. It was lovely to see them but after the disasterorous craft fair (details in another thread!) has left me with only pennies in my purse until Saturday!
Oh well... - will be 4 no spends now I hope (Tuesday to Friday)! Except the car petrol gauge is in the red - ooops!
scottishspendaholic xMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
£1 (on parking the car and that don't count!!) so = £0.00 I even bought in a flask of hot water for my soup instead of spending 10p in the canteen! I'm so trying to go the whole week, not sure I'll last!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

Nothing spent so far today, as my littlen is unwell and we've been at home. I've already stopped my 4 x £1.25 a cappucino daily habit in the works restaurant - that's £100 a month extra sliced off the debts! Taking in own provisions now.
Just thought - I have my wheelie bin cleaned fortnightly, but since I only put bags of rubbish in there, do I really need to spend £5 a month on it? Nope, think not..will cancel when the chap comes tonight!
So an unnecessary spend of £2.50 today for me :mad:Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
I have only spent £10.81 on paying my final payment on barclaycard,Interest from cash withdrawals.0

Disastrous day:
1. I had to buy my lunch in the canteen at work, I usually bring my own but was at Oh's parents all weekend. His mum usually packs us enough food for the whole week but all we got was a fruit cake! Which is lovely but not suitable for lunch, so £2.25 spent. Don't mind too much as the whole weekend was free (2 no spend days on a weekend- unheard of for me!)
2. The heel of my shoe has just broken, my only work shoes. Will have to go to the shops (which I have been avoiding like the plague) tonight, I reckon it will cost me £40.
3. Bloody sponsorship money, weeks and weeks ago (before the lightbulb moment) I sponsored a guy in my office to do a half marathon (I mean, half, I could do that!) £10!!! £10??? it's the guilt factor, you see what the person before you sponsored and match it- not any more though! (Except the OH who is doing the london marathon and I have £30 saved in my loose change jar for that).
I am not going to spend one more penny for the rest of the week (well till Friday), been a bit cheeky and have managed to get myself invited round to OH's for dinner tomorrow night, my friend's on Wednesday and my sister's on Thursday.
Good luck everyone!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
Nothing yesterday.
Made up for it today...
£1.75 card and postcards for DS1's GCSE coursework
£1 parking
£5.25 Sainsbury's, top up bread, milk,etc
£4.50 Boots (but saved over £11 with BOGOF, 342, and vouchers)
And the major purchase, but this came out of savings and was planned for:
£130.00 on my digital camera.
Off now to spend the rest of the evening playing with it!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
