Free car racing game, part of an international competition, but kept me amused for hours without going on line and competing.

Played fine on my year old laptop.

Thanks for this, Hubby is totally addicted to it now lol, now I can't get on my pc after 5-30 coz he's playing the game for hours!!! :rolleyes:

Personally I won't get this game because I believe that it uses StarForce copy protection. It is alleged (through anacdotal evidence so far) that this protection system causes problems with CD/DVD writers. I'm not prepared to take the risk that my system will be corrupted.

Sorry for the negative post - you are free to make up your own minds of course, but I thought a warning was in order.

[EDIT] If someone who has already loaded it could confirm if StarForce is included or not (instructions on how to check are on the glop.org site linked above) that would be great.

[EDIT2] Dave2608 (post #13) has checked and says no StarForce on the demo - Thanks Dave.

It bizzare that this game, which is only offered for free online, has any copy protection?

Yes, it doesn't seem logical does it.

Unfortunately it has been known with other software houses/distributors that use StarForce - Codemasters for one with their Honda racing demo.

I'm just being careful (not to say distrustful) of this game because the full version uses StarForce.

It could now be a security risk as well.
