Moving to the USA...

I am looking for some advice as shortly my husband and I will be moving to the USA for a couple of years for his job.

I am keen to maintain a good credit history in the UK whilst we are away - I plan to keep open my current account and continue to pay a couple of credit cards via a direct debit. Is this a good way to maintain a healthy credit report?? Are there any other ways you could advise?

Also, please can you advise us what we should do about the electoral register? I'm assuming that as we are no longer living in the UK we will have to be taken off this for the period that we are in the US?

Any advice on this would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!
