I like to do a pamper day at home. Okay its not exactly the same as a spa (got my family to get me that last year for my birthday, as a new mum it was just what the doctor ordered), but its still really nice to treat yourself and you don't have to worry about wearing odd socks!!
I have soo many smellies bought for me for christmas and birthdays with candles, bath oil etc, so I book a day off work when OH is out of the way and dd is in nursery. I tell OH not to wake me up and to get dd ready and off to nursery and have a lovely lie in. Then get up, mooch about for a bit and have a lovely long hot bath, do my nails, spend time on my hair (get a cheapie wash in hair dye, use my straighteners), maybe go back to bed (!) and just generally relax without having to do any washing, cooking, cleaning etc. Pure bliss!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -

Ooooh I love it what a great idea, I've got a fake tan knocking around aswell that I could do! Spa day for a birthday present is a fab idea too, maybe some of the others could ask for vouchers from their fav salon to moneysave on their hair treat?Quit smoking 18/08/070 -
It sounds as though these beauty colleges are the way to go for some things, there's one in my town that offers all sorts of stuff but I always thought it was just for the ladies? I'd be quite keen to suffer hours of pain for a good waxing (specifically the "back, crack and sack"
) I wonder if they'd do that for just a few Pounds :rotfl: 0 -

I get mine dyed, I have very blonde eyelashes, so look sooo pasty when I dont wear make up or have it done.
it costs me £8 for my girl to come to the house and do it, and its worth every penny!0 -
