Abbey - Which Credit Ref Agencies do they use?

Hi folks,

I've just had a mortgage knocked back by the abbey due to a default registered 6 months ago, however i can find no record of this..

I have the experian and equifax reports in front of me and they are mint for the last three years....

Who else could they use?

They only checked my Experian file, no search on Eq or Call Credit.

Explain what you mean by 'mint', how much credit are you using? How long have you been on the electoral register for at ur current address?

Any defaults or late payments up to 6 years will be counted.

Does any linked addresses show up on your file? The default may me registered at a linked address.
However, you can appeal to Abbey for a manual review if you are confident all is well

For the last three years I have not missed a payment at all, I have no credit cards/Store cards/ Debit cards. I am totally debt free. Been on the electoral register for 12 years at this address

One CCJ from five years ago that was settled then, but I knew about that. It's this default that I have no idea about and want to know about, and I can't find it!

It's more likely to be the ccj on your file perhaps ? Do Abbey ignore them ?

You need to appeal to Abbey to review their decision....This might be a way forward
