A & L CARD

Hi guys
I guess this should really go on the good news thread, but i wanted to let people know, even if they had posted on that thread.....
Cleared my A & L card this month as the 0% deal runs out on 23rd March. Mainly balance transfer to my Halifax card, but some cash. A few months back i was told by A & L to call a month before my deal ran out, and ask to negotiate another deal (nice lady to have given me advice). Well i did this last month, only to be told NO WAY - even though i have run this account well with no late payments, etc.
So anyways, cleared it this week, and was gonna close it. But have been trying to help a friend out, so before i closed it i was gonna transfer her balance onto my card, and she was gonna transfer it back next month (paying all charges i incur). (By the way, i know some would advise against helping people out......just in case...... but i know she will transfer back with no delay).
Called today to do the deed, and chappie muttered about promotion. 'What promotion?' says i...
'The one where we offer you 0% for a further 6 months!!!!'
'But i asked a month ago, and you said no'
'Yes Madam, but that was before you had cleared your balance, and owed us money!!!!!'
Had to try not to deafen the poor man with me screams of joy!!!! So now, once my friends balance has gone - have to wait until 13th April when her statement will come through showing zero balance and she can transfer back again, i will be straight on phone again, transferring as much as poss back onto card!! :rotfl:
Stay positive everyone, there is light at the end of the tunnel.....
Hugs
L
So for everyone out there............there is hope............
