This is a very tight issue and regards a decent solicitor.

My main question is, did she pay towards the mortgage and household utilities? If so, and if she asks for money, she actually get some! But.. from experience majority of people do not do this.

In a lawyer points of view, if some clients came to me, i.e. the ex-gf, I would be able to win this case and get equity from this property. Mainly only if I could show she paid towards the mortgage through transactions via a bank statement.

Hope this kinds of answers your question!
