Kirsties Homemade homes has just shown Kirstie Allsopp decorating cakes with lovely wee roses, just thought it might be an idea for any of you decorating your cake to get some tips, the roses looked simple. Anyway if you get 4+1 its about to come on, the cakes are probably about halfway in. May also be available on 4 on demand.

Thanks - Ive just been to Tesco and bought a box of twelve cupcales for 99p. Mixed ones - plain and choc it looks like. Im going to try differing icing methods over the weekend for my cupcake wedding cake - saw some on the Martha Stewart site with blue butter icing that I might have a bash at. Violette - did she make her own roses? I want some little red ones but think I might have to fork out £25 for the sugar ones I want on ebay.0

She actually made little red roses, do hope you can catch it as it looked quite easy. Bless her she was so pleased with herself. She didn't actually do much more but hopefully it will help.

Thanks - will have a look - my Chief Bridesmaid just text me to say she saw it, and that they looked easy and she did some nice table decs with a plant in a tumbler with `stuff` wrapped round it. Apparently looks better than that sounds!0

I thought they looked really easy - even easier than using the 5-petal cutters that I bought to make roses
DitaBombita - give it a go yourself before forking out £25, will cost you the price of some regalice (£2.50) and some food colouring. They all look gorgeous but I know if if gave it a go they would end up looking like one of Morphs reletivesl. I am the least arty person in the world - I cant sing, dance, draw. make things etc etc.
