Burton transaction on CC statement as Topshop???

Hi everyone,
Bit of a strange question and not entirely sure this in the right place so sorry if not...
On my credit card statement is a payment to Topshop - I hardly ever shop there and the only thing I have bought from there recently is already on the bill, but there is a payment there for a date when I went shopping with my partner. He doesn't think it is for him and I am sure it is not for me. I quite often pay for things for him in Topshop as I get student discount and I put it on the credit card as we get cashback. Then we each transfer the money for our purchases on the bill into our joint account every month (the DD for the card comes out of our joint account)
I remember paying for some jeans in Burton around the same time for around the value of this transaction, for my partner (again, student discount and to get the cashback) but this purchase is not on the bill - and it should be by now as it was over a month ago. So my question is - could the purchase at Burton be listed on the credit card statement as Topshop? Has anyone had anything like this happen before?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I Think that they are part of the same group. Just be on the safe side you should probably ring your CC company and ask them about the transaction
I hope that you get to the bottom of things

my dorothy perkins statement came in today and it said top shop
they are all part of the arcadia group anyway so i wouldnt worry about it0 -
Thanks.
I knew they were all part of Arcadia but think it's wrong that it comes up as another shops name on my statement, makes it a lot more difficult to check.Old enough to know better, too young to care!0
