Hi & Merry Christmas 2 U All
Looking for some help on getting rid of dandruff
My partner has tried head & shoulders etc & it just does not go away.
She is at her wits end & will try any sensible suggestion out there, so if anyone has any ideas or solutions etc that would just be fantastic!
Regards

Could be worth a trip to the GP if it doesn't clear. It may not be dandruff but something which looks like it. Even if it is dandruff there may be prescription only shampoos which will fix it. You could first try other dandruff shampoos - Neutrogena? Ah: a question on their site: I have tried almost everything to get rid of my dandruff and nothing seems to work. What should I do?Signature removed for peace of mind0

It may be a mild case of psoriasis. Are the flakes quite yellow or maybe large?
As suggested, a visit to the GP may be apt.
Make sure that your friend is washing the shampoo out properly. Some conditioners can leave a coating on the hair which can flake and make it look like dandruff - the ones for building body and pantene are soandso's for that.
If the scalp is itchy as well the try T-Gel, that's good. Or maybe a medicated shampoo such as Vosene.Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0 -

Go to your local boots and buy a bt of Nizoral shampoo for Dandruff. If you cannot find it, you will have to ask at the counter. I swear by it and has recommended it to friends. Since using it, my dandruff has disappeared and also my scalp is not itchy any more. It's a bit expensive but worth it.0 -
I had a similar problem and my GP prescribed SELSUN shampoo, which was marvellous. You can buy it over the counter in any good chemists. I use it once, ever two or three months now and the problem has never returned. Hope this helps.0

Years ago I used to get dandruff real bad, I tried everything to no avail. I went to my GP & he prescribed Polytar shampoo. I have never had the problem since. You can buy it over the counter. It's quite expensive but I think worth it. I use it twice a week.In fact after washing my hair with it in the shower I use the excess from my hair to wash the rest of my body. I have recommended it to several friends with the same problems & they also all swear by it. Try it!!0

Yeah I am with marylee - Niazoral - it is pricey but does work.
Also - this is very cheap and works too - Surgical soap spirit- oh thats not its name. I cannot remember. does anyone esle know what I mean?
I remember my mum using it on me all the time. Only prob is that is a bit smelly. Costs about £1 compared to £6 Niazoral:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -
