Mail on Sunday - Incorrect camping promotion

Hi,
Not sure if this is quite the right place, but thought folks might be interested in my experiences with the recent MAIL ON SUNDAY camping offer.
The original advert took up 1/3 of their most recent front page, and the token claimed that you could camp for 3 nights at a total charge of £2 at one of 55 campsites.
I telephoned several different parks, and found that they all charge additonal fees. These fees are not mentioned on the voucher, in the Mail on Sunday, on the Mail on Sunday website or the Campsites websites.
Typical totals are £25-40 for 3 nights in a tent, with no electric hook up. Quite a distance from the oringal offer!
I have telephoned the Mail on Sunday, and spoke to Chelsea Yardley in the Mail on Sunday promotion department. After some discussion she agreed that the information seemed incorrect, and put me on hold. Unforuntaltey, i reverted to the main switchboard and have not been able to speak to anyone in the promotion department again. The main switchboard transferred me all over the place, and finally gave me the "direct" numbers:
02079387024
02079386692
There has been no reply on this in the last hour.
Wondered if anyone else had similar experiences? Must say im pretty annoyed!!!

You were asking about midweek nights, yes? I think there were surcharges for the weekends. (Sure I read this in the T&Cs.)Val.0

the only extras that should be charged are £4 per pitch per night, for access to the clubhouse/activites, £5 per night if you want a serviced pitch, or standard price if you want to stay on a friday/saturday
However its only for sunday - thursday nights, and until the 21st May, and then from 31st may - 2nd July and you can only book for 3 nights (unless you have a voucher for every 3 nights you book)
other than that, there should be no additional charges
Flea0 -
what extras were you being charged for, other than those i listed above?

The few i rang had park and club charges of £7-11 per night, midweek, and at unserviced pitches.
TBH the only effect of all this has been to remind me how little i trust organisations like newspapers. Everyone i spoke to, at both campsites and the Mail on Sunday, were unbelievably rude.
No desire to participate in their offers! Hope folks here get on better, now that this is a mainstream deal!0
