Forums are really hard to get traffic to stick around. I spent hundreds trying to develope and promote " holidaypubguide.com "
After a free trial, I opted for www.wowultra.com (now ultraBB) it was a one off $99 for the licence, but it was ad free and fully configurable to add your own banners, adsense, ebay/amazon widgets etc etc.
Support from Jim and Diane, the owners and developers was first class, if you give them your hosting details they will set it all up for you Im sure.
My problem was, I just didnt have the time to promote it properly.0
