What a great day!!

Just opened up my coin jar.

My £2 coin savings are £32!!!! :j

The question is:
Do I leave them, put them in savings or pay them off a credit card?

Off to count 20p's now

Fantastic when your change adds up to so much! I have a huge jar of 1p's, 2p's and 5p's and ought to find the time to count them up and pay them into the bank. I think there must be at least £50 in there. I think I'll aim to do it the week before Easter so I've got some spends for the children's school holidays! and Easter Eggs!! :D

    Great stuff! :T

Up til now i've only ever saved 1, 2 and 5ps .... 20ps...hmm... might be worth a shot... i do seem to get quite a few of those. I wouldn't mind saving £2 coins but i so rarely get them.... nor £50 notes for that matter.... now if i could collect those... ;)

    Thats great :j

Always nice when you look after all that small change and see that it really does add up, i have only ever saved the pennies and 20ps and sometimes 50ps but recently started putting aside £2 as well. Those i have not decided what to do with yet but i always put my other saved change towards the monthly CC payment, as they say every little helps :D

I think putting them to your CC is the best bet. If your CC interest is one of the highest, say 2% a month (this is outrageously high but you'll see where I'm going) you'll be saving 64p interest a month - even if it's only 1% pm it's like the BANK putting an extra £1 into your £2 savings every 3 months! :D
