Its difficult to judge where to go cuz they go up and down, theres not really one supermarket that is always cheaper. Good to see comparisons though0

Would like to see the comparisions every month.0

I hope you do not mind me posting here.
https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk do all sorts of comparisons, but you do have to be careful to compare like for like and also they do not include Morrisons (on the website) and places like Somerfield or the Coop.
If you get a basket of items from eg Tesco and then click to switch to eg Asda, you do not always get an exact like for like and you have to be canny about the offers, but if you have a good variety of shops around it is worth checking.
I like Sainsburys, I think that their value items are extremely good quality.

I concur, and no 'bald' price comparison can take that into account. For instance, Sainsburys Basics eggs are 18 for £1.85. What people may not know is Sainsbugs refuse to sell caged hen eggs so even their cheapest eggs are barn eggs. The 'equivalent' eggs in Asda cost £2.48 for just 12! 18 Barn Eggs in Tesco would cost £3.96 as they only sell them in sixes (although they do sell 12 Free Range Eggs for £2.64). 'Bald' price comparisons, whilst helpful, don't tell the whole story...Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
1carminestocky - it is such a tricky area! Do you know, with all the choice available to us and all the deals and all the marketing money thrown around by the supermarkets, I think Napoleon would struggle to find the best strategy for shopping!
Also, if you are iffy about aspartame, Sainsbury are getting that out of their products. Also I bought some comparable Sainsbury kids cheese dippers to the dairylea dunkers, and the Sainsbury ones were lovely soft cheese, like philadelphia so without added wotsits, and some really nice mini breadsticks. I try and give my little bear decent stuff, and I am happy to put these on his menu. (:o don't always manage to give him just the good stuff, but I try).
Also I have my groceries delivered and the local delivery men from Mr S are lovely, the local delivery men from Mr T are not and I haven't tried Mr A.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
No point in comparing prices if they taste vile, better to check out one of the many other threads about the taste of the "value" items such as this one...
