That would be same the guy who four months ago wrote about how the pound was collapsing as "markets count down to bankrupt Britain".
Anyway, Barclays, HSBC, Santander and Nationwide are all going bankrupt. I know because a bloke down the pub told me.0 -

11:37 14May09 GBP/USD: Sub-1.5100 Stops Hit, FT Alphaville Article Impacts
[10:36 GBP/USD: Sub-1.5100 Stops Hit, FT Alphaville Article Impacts] London, May 14.
Cable has revisited yesterday"s post-US retail sales data low of 1.5084 after tripping sell stops below 1.5100. An article posted on the Alphaville section of the FT website which is headlined "Urgent: Financial Comet About To Hit" and sub-headlined "Imminent Big Bank Failure on Overnight Bank Loan Failure" is being touted as a catalyst for the break below the figure, re: its negative impact on risk appetite (the pound often falls when risk appetite declines, and vice-versa).
Further GBP/USD sell stops reportedly reside below 1.5069 (Monday"s low).1.5073 was Tuesday"s low.
