Hi
I am looking at getting a Panasonic bread maker. I love seeds in my bread so thought I would get the new 257 bread maker with fruit and seed dispenser. This means I don’t need to sit around and add the seeds when the machine beeps.
What I was wondering is can you still make seedy loaves by adding the seeds at the start during the dry mix. Does the bread still come out ok. If it does then I can save about £50 and get the 256 without seed dispenser.
Any help welcome

The problem with that is the fruit etc. get a bit mangled and overdone if put in at the begining.
Allisons do a bread flour which is already seeded, I've used it several times now and it is tastes lovely.

The Panny SD255 has the dispenser as well.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
I have the more bais model without the dispenser. if I want to do a loaf on timer overnight, I just do a normal wholemeal. If I'm around, I sometimes do a loaf with seeds in, but I just chuck them in a little way through the mixing process & things seem to work fine.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

We have the 253, but the nut dispenser broke long ago (the machine must be coming up to 7 years old).
It depends how thrifty you are. Anything hard-nuts, seeds etc-we just put in at the beginning and I've never noticed a difference. We use the same method for olives and sundried tomatoes.
Anything softer and we just chuck it in about an hour before the end.0
