Yeah but it tastes of chlorine- heavily! (in London anyway). (I should add, despite this, I just drink tap but from a water filter)

There is a finite amount of water on the earth, all of which has been consumed billions of times before. There's nowt special about bottled water, except for the mass of waste plastic bottles that are produced and end up as waste somewhere.

Tap water is certainly not free, we pay loads for water every year whether we use it or not. No water meters in households in Scotland.

I beggers belief that people waste their cash on over-priced bottled water. The best way to get cheap, tasty and refreshing water is to turn on your tap and fill a glass. Bottled water is no better for you than tap water, everything they tell you in the adverts is bullplop.

    Wake up to the con.

  • i think it just depends where you live. i doubt water that comes from taps would have chlorine that you could taste or smell. that just wouldnt be safe.
having hard water commonly found in areas like london is better for you then having soft water found in areas like birmingham. so there is no excuse to buy bottled water. but hey its cheap and you can take it out with you when you go out.

I have to agree with you. I just don't get the bottled water thing at all.

But it's not cheap - it's actually very expensive to buy it in bottles.
