Sound proofing

A friend of mine with a sleeping disorder is looking for some Soundproofing materials for her bedroom to block out neighbours noise. She has to sleep during the daytime, so doesn't feel able to ask them to be quiet, plus she thinks they would purposely turn the music up louder if she did!

Cheap or free would be great as she has little income.

Any help or advise would be gratefully received.

    Hello Sarahjovi

A cheap method to cut noise is to wear ear plugs. I use these yellow foam ear plugs, they are comfortable and effective. Other Safety/Personal Protective Equipment suppliers may be cheaper.

Being a money saver, I use (wear them) them more than once.........even though they are disposable.;)
