Solicitor for Bullying at Work

Can anyone recommend a reputable Solicitor, near and around the Northampton area would be ideal, it's a tricky one involving the NHS and Waiting lists aso would rather go by recommendation. Really appreciate your experiences, thanks.

Afraid I can't help regarding a solicitor, but if your problem is work related, as the title to your thread suggests, have you tried contacting ACAS?

Thanks Rocas, will pass this on, am doing this for OH's mum. Have read the bullying section on it, thankfully she has kept a diary of all the incidents, will come in handy.
So frustrating, not knowing all your rights...this is a great start...;)

    Hello fruitcake

I can't help you with the name of a solicitor (I'm in East Yorkshire) but this web site will give you some helpful advice.

    Know your rights

whoever you go with, check your house insurance ASAP to see if you have cover for legal costs in employment matters.

Good thinking as in that case they are likely to have some suggestions or expect the insured person to use one of their panel solicitors which will answer the opening query anyway.

If your partners mother is a member of a trade union, then the union would provide valuable advice and support, including access to an experienced solicitor if required. But I am guessing she is not a member?

Unfortunately, bullying in the workplace is all too common. Here is a link to some trade union (Unison) information on bullying in the workplace.

thanks for all your sugesstions, will be checking the insurance out! And as for trade union, the rep is on holiday, so she is waiting for them to come back......2 weeks.

we were all clubbing together to help her out, as she needs all the support she can get, her OH is a bit of a "coward" and isn't very supportive.....

there was a solicitor she used for a land matter but they cocked it up, which is why I'm more likely to recommend someone who has a good track record, if you get my drift...
