Definition of trouted according to Google
trouted when one has been slapped in the face with any number of items, be it an actual trout, a sponge, a banana peel, an anvil, a boobie, whatever. after the slap to the face has occured, the attacker must shout at their victim: "You've been TROUTED!" or simply "Trouted!!" This is not a strict definition, so the rules for usage are not solid.
*walk up to person a and tap them on shoulder*
*they turn around and are met with a nice smack to the face*
Attacker: Trouted, b**ch
Victim: Oh no!
I can just see it now...........
OT's slapping us in the face with our banana's, or worse still ' their t*ts, shouting '' YOU'VE BEEN TROUTED''

If ever I get trouted I insist on a Duty Manager as I know what they are saying is not correct.
I won't be lied to and told the policy has changed when it hasn't, been there done that too many times in the past. I will hold up the queue if need be - if so it's the trout's fault not mine (they never try it with me again).
It's great fun to call their bluff and I encourage everyone here to do the same at the till and 'out the trout' (exposing their lies by embarrassing them with a Duty Manager who agrees with the customer!). :rotfl:
I haven't been successfully trouted for over a year - but I have outed a few. And there's nothing wrong with paying pence for a £20 shop in a store that allows the national policy. Tell your hubby to be proud of his moneysaving and not to believe the lies of said old trout next time she sails into view.
Thanks for that it's a great help - and I'll certainly tell hubby what you said, cos he wasn't too kean b4 about using them so think I will have to go with him a few times b4 he will try again on his own. We were going to go tonight, but we stuffed our faces with a lovely pudding that son made at school so couldn't face going out tonight - but we will be back there tomorrow!0 -

For those who have migraines Kool N Soothe gel strips for your head are brill, I have been using them for years, ever since they came out, beats the old method of a wet flannel dripping all over:eek: and stays on for hours. There are others like them but are nowhere near as good. In fact might e mail and creep, never know:D My T's used to sell em and emptied their shelf;)Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I'm not sure what the summer show is like as I have only ever been to the winter shows before. However they normally give out free souvenier programmes full of receipes, hints, tips and other info these normally have an rrp of around £10 each. You get a booklet of vouchers as you go in (keep going back as they tend to change staff etc an you can sometimes get more books) then theres all the things on the stalls vouchers, leaflets, recipes, calenders last year, they all sell products at cheap/ special offer prices that you may want to stock up on. :j:j:D:D:T:T
The first year I went they had a gorgeous Northern Irish cheese stand that normally supplies Waitrose and they had good deals on cheese, last year there was loads of good stalls with good deals aswell as free samples.:D:D:D:T:T:T:T
Don't forget you get free entrance into the gardeners world show with your gfs tickets so there maybe even more freebies there lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you have a fab day there, where sensible shoes and clothes and take a bottle of water or something with you. It can get hot in there so make sure you layer up lol :j:j:j
Oh and one last thing last year we took our own sandwiches with us and sat in the cafe areas and ate them rather than paying their prices :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
