Just to let you know that the Energizer Lithium Battery coupon for £1.00 that was a demo coupon is now working.

WAS giving out a coupon for the Lithium batteries, but only giving out a DEMO coupon for the rechargeables.
It is now giving out a single Lithium coupon for EACH button.
It's nice to be nice .....

I have had an awful experience with my coupons in t's on sunday - the worse experience to date!! Thought I'd pop in for half hour but ended up spending nearly 2 hours in there - what a waste of 2 hours

went in armed with £12 of mocs and my fav. sa who btw speaks limited english and has not got the faintest reg. coupons (and who also knows me quite well by now - he usually puts them through but last week had alerted a supervisor who was well clued up on the policy - thank god - and told him thery were all fine). He insisted on calling the supervisor again as he was not sure if he could put the coupons through. (by the way they were mostly glossy coupons , goodness shakes and finish one(from net in colour) and £1 off the smoothies, mostly from the huggies booklet.......I was thinking oh no and said very politely that you had asked the supervisor last week and she had said they were all fine, so why are you asking again....well just want to make sure, but i;m sure they will be ok he said in broken english. As we continued waiting for 3 mins, I again insisted my coupons were all fine so he put £7 worth in and then stopped.....I insisted they were fine not wanting to attract too much attention and kept smiling......but he pursued to alert sprvsr......(who took ages coming over) - the sa never pressed a buzzer and was just looking over trying to call sprvsr from 50 miles across the store........and guess wot? Along comes an O.T who has given hubby probs before. He came over looked at the coupon and said can only put 1 through (the finish one). he cancelled EVERYTHING but i stood my ground. this middle aged asian woman behind me in queue just smiled and began shifting her things off the conveyor belt and went to another till, but the lady behind her began giving me daggers but ignored her as i was getting bit frustrated that my whole shop had been canx. The O.T was not having anything I was saying and took my shopping and escorted me to c.s. along with the coupons I had tried to use. They were useless too.
I had a very young lad who scrutinised every single coupon then insisted i had to buy the products and this was the store policy (as I had not bought any of them).....he tried to ring his boss but there was no answer. It was a sunday, and I assume office staff had gone home. The store was very busy and then I pulled out my coupon policy and showed him what head office had said. he read it about 50 times, called his colleague over saying "am I reading this correctly". She confirmed the policy to him which was I could use 1 coupon per item (not per transaction as o.t HAD INSISTED ON) even if i never bought the product. this was done after a lot of ahhh, ummmm, hhmmm's and a big debate. I deliberately never showed supervisor the policy as I knew he would twist the wording to suit himself because he owns tesco's. Anyway the yound c.s began knocking my coupons off the total spend ( he even looked at the finish one and claimed as they were all non internet ones it was ok). I thought I best not say a thing about internet ones (even though the policy said they accepted them), just wanted him to knock the coupons off my bill. at this point I was feeling, sweaty, hot, frustrated, had a headache but was very calm and patient throughout the whole ordeal due to everyone advice on here (thank you all). After I paid the remainder with my card I politely told him to go inform the O.T NOW whilst I was still here reg. the coupon policy. He went off while I checked the receipt and noticed i was overcharged on my lambs lettuce and the dopey, s.a had put the iceberg lettuce in twice (both items were reduced). I was still stood at the c.s desk, then notcied the smoothie £1 coupon had not been taken into account. When the c.a came back he informed me the supervisor had gone on his break......but he will let him know. I then asked him I wanted to take a look at all the coupons I had given him and sure enough after opening the drawer and handing me my bunch of coupons I found the smoothie one missing - I told him but he wud not believe me, I insisted he go check the s.a desk. he reluctantly did but the coupon was missing. In the end I just handed the smoothie back and got my refund, then went on to point out I had been overcharged. he refunded me "some" money and when i asked him if he could show me how he worked it out (as quite new to this and did not understand it) he just kept Said "its double the difference - I have already given you the money"......i know u have but can u show me how u worked it out please. I know he wanted to get rid of me and believe me it was not fun for me either but I was sure he did the calculations on DTD wrong. so I asked his colleage ....." your colleague cant be bothered to show me how he's worked this out, and he's being really awkward so could you please show me how this is done"......"right lets have a look, ..." she worked it out and found he did it completely wrong. I was short of 1.24. I know its not much but it was the principle (actually in coupon world it is a lot). After handing me over the change I was relieved to get out of there.

I am not sure what to do now as was thinking of writing in a complaints letter, however, dont want to attract attention and get the poilicy banned, or worse still get me banned from the store. on sun. I was so annoyed, i wish I had gone to another more friendly s.a who scans them through without any probs. (head a heavy inclination to go to this one but the devil distracted me to the dopey s.a) - never again. i will avoid him like the plague!!! maybe I will just leave it and lay low - next shop is on thurs and hope to use the sun moc along with mostly coupon net coupons. Just hope one of my fav. s.a is working there and wont betray me.

Looking at the receipt at home I found the dopey s.a had given me a free can of beans worth 92p as he went to deduct the iceburg but deducted the beans instead. saved 9.50 on shop but what a headache - literally!!!!

I think its absolutely DISGUSTING to say the least how none of the staff are clued up in any of the t's on the coupon policy. I know its up to the individual store and they have the last say etc etc but how come some supervisors.s.a allow it and some dont!! SHAME ON THEM!!!!!!

Thanks to Mark83 who has started a thread elsewhere on this board informing us that there is a 50p MOC available from https://www.charmin.co.uk/fun. It's a couponnet style one (I can't print those, so no idea whether it allows you two or not .... but there is an option to have one posted out to you).

I had a problem at my favorite Tesco on Friday with a cashier. She was the very 1st cashier I went to the first day I ever used the store and she was very nice then and I told her so. We were talking about this forum and how great it is and I mentioned that I had posted a coupon link or two myself and she asked me if I could take the coupons from the magazines/newspapers and turn them into pdf's and post them, to which I replied NO and wouldn't dream of doing such a thing even if I knew how (I don't know how to do it). But when the store went to checking coupons before you can use them she once checked mine and gave me half of them back saying they weren't any good (they were, she was just being mean and trying to look the hotshot as she isn't a supervisor) so from that day on I try to avoid her. Well on Friday I had the supervisor check my coupons then I stupidly went to you know who! I had 8 Sun newspapers and she said, "You can't have all of those!" I asked why not and she said it was considered a bulk buy and they have a coupon in them (Morrisons £5) so I was only allowed to buy 4. So she then took the papers over to the supervisor to see what they had to say, I could see that they weren't sure what she was talking about and I heard someone say "6" and she said "it's 4", then she came back and said I could only have 4. Which meant my shopping was going to be messed up as far as the coupons were concerned so I had to take everything off the conveyor belt and go back and re-shop for a few things. Come to find out from another cashier that more than 6 items is considered a bulk buy, not 4, and that I am not the only customer she had bullied over buying in quantity. I will certainly NEVER go to her again, even if I have to stand in a long queue to avoid her!!
Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!
