I want a nice tent

I'm going to buy my first tent, how exciting! It's for attending Glastonbury this year so will need to last 5 nights and some awful weather (prepare for the worst).
It will be just for one man but not really sure what to be looking for in a tent e.g. One tent I have looked at has 210T PU Coated Diamond Ripstop Nylon, 5000mm Hydrostatic Head and taped seams. Is this good? I have no frame of reference.
Don't want to spend any more than £100 really. Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi
Have a look on www.ukcampsite.co.uk You'll find lots of information about tents.
The HH or Hydrostatic Head tells you how waterproof a tent is. The higher the better but the recommended minimum in the UK is 2000 HH. Better quality tents tend to have higher HH and is something to check on cheaper tents.

go for a named brand, gelert, coleman, sunncamp, lichfield, khyam to name a few.
you could also look at decathlon for tents.
min 2000 HH for this country and you should stay dry!0 -
try some of the camping shops online
you can get some good deals.
Give yourself room to spread out
inside it,get something you can stand
up in.It does not have to be massive
but when you are drying out inside your
tent its so much easier if you dont have to
crawl round to do everything.
You can get something quite good for under
a £100,as above get a brand name all above
as well as Vango:j:j:j0
