OK, not a huge debt but I want it gone

This only my personal debt, as OH has about £2000 on credit cards but he's away and I can't find his statements, but anyway!

At 11am I had...

Natwest Credit Card £1543.00
LloydsTSB Credit Card £768.28
Egg Credit Card £29.87
Slate Store Card £209.96
total £2551.11

I've managed to pay off the slate card and up my direct debit on the egg card so as of the 23rd March, that will be paid off! :D

So as of the 23rd March, my debt will be £2311.28

Also been going through my bank statements and out household bills and noticed as most things are up for renewal this month, I can make savings on out House and Mortgage Insurances, reducing sky, changing utility suppliers, hopefully savings £60 a month through that! wish me luck!

DEBT FREE for the first time in 10 years and with savings!

1st Baby due May 2011 :o it's a BOY:j

It sounds like you are on a mission! :T

You didn't list your APRs for the remaining two credit cards but I am assuming you are paying the highest APR first...? I'm getting the impression around here that that's the thing to do... ;)

    But congratulations anyhow....keep us informed!

all credit cards (except the EGG) are 0% APR's, need to change them soon, as the 0% is running out!

    Hi Leni
You seem to be on the right track, well done!

I've not got a huge debt either, but paying it off means I'm not saving anything and it does bother me tremendously. The money I'm using to pay it off could be going in to a savings account or being spent on something much nicer, but I spent that money, so I've got to sort it out.

Well done, you will get there!

quick update, today I've also changed my Home and Contents Insurance, saving us £5.05 a month, and just changed our mortgage protection, life insurance and critical illness cover, saving £22.80 = total saved £27.85 a month!

target tomorrow is to change utility suppliers and find a new 0% credit card:D
