maybe you have previously posted your SoA (in which case ignore this ) but maybe you might consider so doing.
your debts as listed total to £17,600 which presumably were costing you something arround 400 per month. as you say you can afford 223 per month is there no way of closing the gap ?
on the matter of bankruptcy, the your creditors are interested in recovering as much as possible from you so will not make you bankrupt if they see no advantage.
i would think they would see your repayment totaling 223 as not unreasonable.0 -
I have a Tesco debt and had an MBNA debt (well still have the debt but they've sold it on).
Tesco accepted £1 payments, then I uped it to £5 and now it's about £35 per month on a debt amount about the same as yours.
MBNA sold it on but the eventuual outcome was the same, just took more letter writing and sticking up for myslef (I was never rude though, just persistant)
I did my own negotiating, by accident really as I couldn't get through to Payplan but used their free pack to write letters etc£16,500 in debt.
New debt free date: 2015 (was 2046!!).
Thanks MSE for helping me budget and therefore increase payments from £30 per month to £1500
