Wescot are driving me insane

You may remember me saying that wescot had agreed a £400 full and final settlment on a debt of £700 and how hard we are struggling to get the money together.
They have promised 3 times over the last fortnight to send a letter out confirming this. So far none have appeared and Wescot claim they must be lost in the post. Anyway I need the letter before I can pay so the bank can stamp it for me, as I don't trust Wescot if I just pay them.
It's driving me mad going without while money is sat in the bank doing nothing and at this rate the payment date will have come and gone and they will revoke the agreement because I havn't paid on time. :mad:

DO NOT TRUST THEM......wait until you get the letter a friend paid £300 on condition £324 was written off there idea not his he borrowed from a friend paid it .they then asked him for the £324 when he said they had an agreament they said no agreament was made if it was the member of staff had no right to agree to such a thing SO DONT PAY GET IT IN WRIGHTING FIRST ,IF YOU DO NOT YOU WILL REGREAT IT IM SURE, OF IT keep making the token payment if they dont give you it in wrighting they are bluffing you

Do not trust Wescot at all. Wait for their next communication AND the next. Do not get in touch with them. Its a shame you started to deal with them as they are a cowboy company operating out of Scotland with different laws and out of reach of English law regarding credit companies. They buy debts off companies etc and try very hard to make some kind of money on these debts. They do not act for people whose debt it is, they own the debt outright and are like rottweilers if they get their claws into you. Call their bluff and sit it out before doing anything else.

I agree, a written letter with them agreeing to the offer is a must for future proof, and also keep a copy of the letter for about 6 years just in case :rolleyes:

Oh and make sure you send the cheque by recorded delivery and keep the proof

Thanks, I just hope it does work out for us it would be so nice to post saying one less to pay.
