    ....I think the British people as a collective are starting to wake up to their debts and want to reign it in. Lord know what will happen to the economy when/if the majority of people stop spending....!

    We need to teach the next generation of 18 year olds to learn from our mistakes and resist theose CC's & Loans. Not easy though is it? :rolleyes:

    Have just found this thread and feel that it so fits my situation. It is the realisation that I don't want our kids to grow up thinking everything can be bought on credit that has made me get my act together. We suffer with the same 'my friend got this, that and the other for Christmas' but our kids have to admit that we do far more together as a family than their friends do and I think they appreciate that.

    So looking forward to having paid off the debt so we can proudly save up for things! and demonstrate that to the kids!!
