Norwich Union windfall may 2009

I have been reading about the latest windfall news from Norwich Union / Aviva. I have a endowment policy that matures 1st June - the stament on their web site seems confusing:
it says that the policy must be in force on the day of reattribution yet further on it says that if the policy matures after 21st Nov 2006 it will still be eligble.
Can a policy that has matured still be eligble???

To be eligible for a possible reattribution a policy must be:

• A with-profits policy invested in the CGNU Life With-Profits Fund or CULAC With-Profits Fund (including NUL RBS and NUIL policies)
• In force on 21 November 2006
• Still in force on the day the reattribution takes place

Policies that were eligible on 21 November 2006 and which mature after that date, or where a death or critical illness claim occurs, will remain eligible.

that was the original plan, policies maturing after first announcement were still to get the cash ( of course now reduced / and unlike existing plans it will cash now and not choice of possible share later)
