HURRY: Buy £6 in Co-Op Savings Stamps save £1!

This offer is running from Monday 11th May for just 2 weeks in my local Co-Op foodstore. Not very well advertised and as it only started today not all staff too sure about it yet.

Buy £6 (or more) in Savings Stamps and get £1 off your shopping at the same time.

The savings stamps can be attached to a savings card and redeemed straight away for face value, or saved up and redeemed in December where £2 free is added for every £48 in stamps.

Therefore, an INSTANT £1 saving can be made using this offer.

This is advertised at my local Co-Op (Anglia Regional Co-Op) but may also be available at all "Co-operative" branded stores (Co-Op Group, MidCounties) and possibly others too. Worth asking.

My Co-Op is allowing you to just buy 6 stamps - and nothing else - and only pay for 5. Don't know if this is how it's supposed to work, as you could then go round the shop and spend the 6 stamps you've just bought.

You only get £1 off each time, so buy your stamps in groups of 6.

If does mean, if you use the Co-Op for a big shop at Christmas, provided you can buy all the stamps during this fortnight, in conjunction with the usual £2 savings on the saver card you can get a full £50 savings stamp card for just spending £40 on stamps. This is what I'm doing. A 25% return in 7 months beats any bank account!!

(additional note for Co-Op members: Dividend is earned at point of redemption, not point of sale, but double dividend cashback on the members' credit card will apply on the purchase (Co-Op Group stores only) ).
