Should I fix again or not?

Hi all,
I am a bit of a novice when it comes to mortgages and have always taken the "safe" option and fixed for 2 or 3 years at a time.
My fixed rate is due in August this year and I don't know weather to fix again or go onto a variable rate.
Is there any advice around as to what the rates will be doing over the next year or so? My 2nd child id due in a few weeks time and I will be going onto mat pay for 9 months so I need to save money wherever I can.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Just by asking the above questions you have actually asking for advice. Mortgages are regulated products too and no answers giving in this forum should actually be taking as true advice.
As I always tell people, you need to seek a decent IFA or shop around in different banks and building societies. Each advisor will type up a report for you regarding your requests.
Besides with so little information provided, no one can pull a monkey out of a hat.
And... congratulations on the child. Greatly understand that you need to count your pennies due to the family getting bigger.
SEEK A DECENT ADVISOR. You don't have to choose the package straight away. Meaning you don't have to commit.
Since it will be August until renewal, you should not leave it more than 6 weeks the latest (i.e. mid-June 2009) to shop around.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
Remember to say thank you to people who help you out!
