London is a bit vague?
Im not from the area, but Im willing to bet that each areas will differ slightly. If you specify your location a bit more your likely to get a better answer.
I could tell you I paid £18 for my lessons in the Midlands, but that might depress you so I wont :-P0 -

I don't know what the prices are like round you but I would warn against just picking the cheapest. You need to think of the long term cost. I started learning to drive with a guy who was the cheapest local to me but the lessons weren't very good, more like practicing with your dad or something. For a long time I thought I was just being a slow learner (unusual for me since I normally pick things up quite fast if I'm paying attention) I later switched to a more expensive instructor who was recommended by several people. This guy would tell me what we would be covering each lesson, give me homework and had a schedule and timeframe within which he expected me to progress and reach the point where I could pass my test. So although he was more expensive per lesson in the long run he was much better value.
Based on my experience I'd suggest asking friends for recommendations or using a respected driving school.0
