Self Assesment

Quick question..(This is my first year of being self employed)!
I work as a freelance interpreter so when I invoice clients, I charge them £0.25 a mile also.

Therefore, when filling in my Tax return, do I have to include the money earnt from mileage in my turnover? Which means i get it taxed in the end? Or should I just include earnings only on my return? And all the petrol money earnt is mine to keep 100%?

Thanksxx

Yes, you need to include all your income, including any expenses which you pass on to clients.
You won't pay tax on this money as I hope you are including 40p per mile for the first 10,000 miles and 25p pm thereafter in your accounts!
£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths
