Hey what's all this? ?Don't beat yourself up about money worries - lots of us have made huge mistakes but the main things, we're not dead yet are we??? As long as we're still alive there's hope lol.
dont know your circumstance, if you are on DMP or just struggling with repayments or what, but you're not alone. I wake up every day worrying about my debt, and even though I have taken steps to sort it out I still feel at the mercy of my creditors at any given hour.
I bet there are many people who think the world of you and would hate to know you are feeling like this. I'm sure you're doing your best but it just gets tiring. Is there anything in particular we can help you with, regarding interest charges?
Will pop back later see how you're doing.0 -
Hi. I'm sorry, I'm too new to offer advice, but I didn't want to read and run. You sound really down..sometimes we all get like that when the debt gets to us, but you must remember that you are NOT useless. I'm sure much more clever people will be about soon with advice, but in the meantime take care. If you feel like this very often, you may want to consider going to your doctor and telling them."I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." Ah see, I wasn't blubbing until you two were nice. The dogs are sitting looking at me odly. I know people that are sick or have sick family members are far worse of. I just don't know where to start.0

Hi FTF
Why don't you start off by posting your statement of affairs so people can give you advice based on your financial situation? http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
Get your paperwork together and take time to complete this - that in itself will make you feel better! :j

How about starting by freezing the interest on the credit cards which are cripling you? If you're paying interest then you're not on a DMP or an IVA. Perhaps a phone call to one of the many free debt charities would be a good place to start.
Theres always something to be positive about. Take your dogs for a walk it is a glorious day out. When you get back make a phone call to one of the debt charities. Even if its just someone to talk to you will feel better for telling someone rather than bottling it up inside.
Start slowly and with the small things. Have you done an SOA? Things are rarely as bad as they seem. You have a family and with that family comes love and support no matter what.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Hi, hold fire there and keep checking back here. The really helpful guys will be along soon..... All you gotta do is read some of the other peoples posts - you'll see that regardless of the situation, the people on here will give you the best advice going and so so much support. Perhaps you should start by explaining the situation?? Then the guys can start to help.
You are NOT alone and NOT useless, we all have days / times like that but just getting on here to talk to people is a start.
Bet the dogs just dont like to see their mummy sad!
Give them a big cuddle!
Take care. x0 -
Try reading the diaries. Other people are in exactly the same position as you. At least you know you're not alone!Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

You CAN do this.....baby steps, one little step at a time and you will get through.
Things may seem bleak right now but you are not useless.
Sorry I couldn't offer any practical advice but I couldn't read and run without saying anything when I saw your words. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Thanks. I don't know how to do a statement of affairs since my hubby is self employed and people just don't pay him. So I can do it for money going out but money coming in is dire. As for the cc's i called 2 of them they said no deal on reducing the interest. My family are lovely but can't know about how bad it is. Husband will literally be suicidal and stop working (making it even worse - been there before) and dad has had numerous heart attacks and is looking extremely grey. Mum isn't able to cope with long grass in her garden let alone something like this. My problem is that I find it hard to talk to anyone/charity/cc company because I go off in bits as soon as they ask. How can I not cry and be together enough to look at this?0

Oh bless you. Unfortunately I am not experienced enough either to give the real hard core advice.
Really don't feel this situation is all on your shoulders alone. Even if you don't feel it a good idea to discuss with your family there are always people on here who are more than welling to listen and help!!!
If you can only do an SOA for your outgoings it is worth it. You'll get some good advice for reducing costs where possible from people here.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!! JUST IMAGINE HOW GOOD YOU'LL FEEL WHEN YOU'VE HAD SOME LISTENING EARS AND ADVICE ON HERE!! :A
