I have recieved my first CCJ and hope it is the last. The problem I have is that I called the company to ask about making payments only to be told that interest is still being charged and will be untill the last payment. The amount owed before it went to court was 1,400 and after court is now 3,012.00. and with interst being added it is no joke. Has anyone else had the same problem or can anyone give me any info to help.
Thanks

Did you receive a default notice before court action began?
Do you have the T&Cs of your agreement, if so, check them, it must state whether they will be allowed to charge interest on a CCJ.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

When you received the court claim, did you admit / dispute / deny the claim?
