Looking for a minimum 4 berth static/tourer for a relative, short term to put on a drive for temporary accommodation, can anyone point me in the direction of sites that sell these, preferably the statics.
Thanks

Hi
Well firstly i see you are from my home town Preston ! Right
depends what you want to spend really , Dealer wise there is Campbells at Lostock Hall on the bridges , also Barrons down at Coppull . also Ewood caravans in Blackburn , worth looking around again there is so many different layouts etc
Another place is EBAY , worth trawling through the listing , you might get a bargain !
From a personal point of view Campbells proved slightly dearer , i actually down graded from a new Compass from Campbells to a smaller 2 berth which we bought from Ewood caravans , we actually took a year out in 2004 and sold our house in Preston and went ! Now living in Scotland , but one day when im old n grey lol will return to it !
Happy hunting

It is actually for my sisters daughter,(broken relationship house sale etc) whilst she sorts out the finances, wants her independance and space, but also wants the space of a house,, that is why a static is preferable, don't think there will be a problem with space, had a look at Campbells, hellishly dear for what they have, might have a look on Ebay, although personally I would not buy from Ebay, just a trust issue.

I know that a lot of people probably know this but I have a little security tip for caravans...although many have locks, chains and bolts, a very big help is for caravan owners to paint their postcode in very very big letters on the roof of their caravans with their house number also....also make a note of your chassis number and where it is on the vehicle....
Sounds strange hey?? Well no it isnt...a friend informed me that should your caravan be stolen then the police stand a better chance of recovery as they can use their helicopters to overfly areas and what stands out better....a white roof..or a white roof with 3 foot high writing on it???
Hope his helpsHappy to be Debt Free!!!0 -
But surely the caravan wont stand out if every caravan has a postcode on it? lol.0

Not sure it's a good idea to do this, what happens if you want to sell it  (I've considered selling ours lots of times as not actually sure it's cost effective). Also the postcode on the roof idea assums the Police will use their helicopter when tracking your caravan  :rolleyes:Panda on My Shoulder
If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:0
