Best 10 year fix? (£68000 needed, 48.5% LTV)

HI All,

we are looking at putting in an offer on a house over the next week. Our offer will be £140,000. I have £72,000 to put down as a deposit, so will need a further £68,000, given an LTV of 48.5%.

I would like a 10 year fix for stability, the best I can seem to find is 4.99% from the Abbey. Can anyone advise of any better deals, or can I negotiate with banks as I would have thought I was in a fairly good position with a low ish LTV.

Thanks in advance,
Craig.

Unfortunately, the only way to know is to shop around and use a mortgage advisor.

You must understand that IFA's have special deals only to them as well too. Also, certain companies will not allow their rates to be shown on websites such as moneysupermarket.

    Hi,

    I think the Brittania still do a 10 year fix @ 4.89%

Be quick though as I read in the times (i think it was the times), that the experts predicting long term fix increases very soon!
