Just had a moment!

Hi Everyone!

I have just paid off two credit-cards! Phew, a weight off my shoulders is all I can say!

My friend and myself have litterally just burnt the cards in a fire. So goodbye Capital One and Vanquis!

I wanted to just thank everyone on here for providing helpfull support and guidance as well as someone to natter too when times get tough.

I also think that a great idea for anyone with debt problems is to tell someone and have them as a buddy, so to speak. My friend watched my pay the debt off and confirmed it. He has helped me along with these "problematic" cards and has been the voice of reason on so many occasions, he really helped.

Thanks guys once again!

I did/do. I still have a way to go. Water Rates overdue and one credit card left. But this was the first step. I think my "buddy" is more happy than I am at the moment! :D.

Hang in there ladylumps45, when you get to that "step" you will feel so much lighter, it really feels like a weight has been lifted.

Well done for doing this, now, don't forget to call the companies up and cancel them properly so that they can't come dropping back through the door in the future or tempt you into calling up and getting them sent out again.

Thats great news, I can't wait to cut up my Monument card, I like the idea of cutting it up into tiny little pieces then throwing it into the air :j

I hope you don't mind me asking, did you default on the Vanquis card or did you pay it off as agreed.
The only reason I ask is that they are one of my creditors and I have a letter in my hand ready to post tomorrow, asking them to accept reduced payments, I'm really nervous about this lot as for some reason I am expecting them to be horrible.
