Hi All ...
Always on the hunt for everyday items that are on offer ... Sainsbugs currently have their Red Label Tea Bags ... All Sainsbugs Tea Bags are Fairtrade
... at Half Price! ... £1.34 for 160 ...
I'm sorry but I did not look to see how long the oofer was on ... but they had a huge pallet full of them at my local small store ... so likely it's got a while to run ...

The basic T bags are 28p for 80 fairtrade and just as nice imo. And yes I have tried them all. I used to buy the brown label.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Agreed. I 'blind-tested' my family on the 28p tea bags (also fairtrade) and not one comment. Sometimes (as Martin has said) we 'judge' with our eyes and not our taste buds. Homo sapiens are basically unsophisticated when it comes to our taste senses so are easy to 'fool' when you take away the 'vision' thing.
This isn't a 'one-off', either, we have friends who have done the same thing to their families with these 28p tea bags and not one family member has made an adverse comment (my bro in law when sis told him how much the tea he'd been drinking for over a week actually cost went out in his lunchtime and bought several boxes!).Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I have tried the 28p ones too ... Unfortunately I cannot share your excitement ... I found them very tasteless ... They are indeed Fairtrade though which is a credit to Sainsbugs ... I have some at the back of the cupboard for Tea Bag Emergencies ...
I have been using the 'Gold Label' brand from Waitrose ... Gold Label is the brand name .. they are not a Waitrose own brand ... their standard price is 99p for 80 bags ... and they are very nice ... if a little strong ...
