Has anyone got any recommendations for tour operators for these? We are thinking of three days or so in June, me, DH and 17 year old DS.
We did an absolutely fantastic one day tour of WW1 Battlefields last August, starting and ending in Ypres. If anyone is thinking of doing this the link is:-
http://www.ypres-fbt.com. We had gone to Lille for a weekend and incorporated it in that.

There is far more of WW1 than two. We were very impressed with Vimy Ridge, walking through the trenches. Spoilt a little by British kids using them for chasing through, I feel ashamed of my fellow Countrymen at times whilst abroad.0

I did a tour with Leger Battlefield tours last year:

They do WW1 and WW2 tours. They have loads to choose from and have pick up points all over the country.
You are on a bus, but things were well organised and the guides are very knowledgeable.0
