                    Hi
We have got no cash til payday next week! Paypal messed my new account up so I have £138 waiting to be transferred and £48 of cheques waiting to clear- but nothing to spend for a few days!!!
How I hate it!!!
On the positive side we have plenty of food in and petrol in the car!!
Plus CC is paid to date and the catalogue.
I cant wait til we are debt free- which should be next Dec(07) if my calculations are correct! Can you believe that since I got married at 18 to my first hubby I have never been debt free??? Two kids, a divorce, bringing up the kids on my own for years etc have seen to that!!!
What will I do when I have spare cash LOL
xx

            Hey Gilly41,
We both in the same boat! Re: the divorce, kids thing. Life as a single mum can be tough but even with debt I love being in control of my own finances & destiny!
You sound like you got things under control too now so just tighten the belt a little more til payday ( I know it's strangling you!) & spend the weekend out in the fresh air. It's free & good for you, start the spring cleaning or do some baking. :j
Whatever you do I hope you have a great weekend!

            Hi Gilly41
do a little searcing on the internet for e.g. what's on in your area or free days out in xxx. I did this recently and found out that ALL museums in Glasgow are free entry! There are so many websites with this kind of stuff and I only kept a note of ones relevant to near me.

            Hey gilly41,
Why not head over to the Old Style board and do something new and interesting this weekend that will save you money before it arrives I dunno, bake a cake or make stew for the next week, start your spring clean using OS cleaning ingredients, repair your favourite skirt that has a snag in, absolutely anything I dunno, bake a cake or make stew for the next week, start your spring clean using OS cleaning ingredients, repair your favourite skirt that has a snag in, absolutely anything

I usually sit around the house doing nothing, go round and see my mates, watch TV, do my piano practice, gardening, cleaning and eat!!!
 I often have no money to do anything so spend most of my weekends like that TBH.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

            Silverelephant,
We used to take our 2 daughters to a different museum every sunday that my husband had off. He's a bus driver so we get free travel too so it meant all we had to buy was an ice-cream or maybe a happy meal at mcdonalds. They're a bit older now and I think they're fed up with museums but we've got a 3yr old daughter now and can't wait to start taking her round the museums. Really looking forward to the Art Galleries re-opening this year.
A couple of years ago I bought the Historic Scotland family pass, I think it was about £54 for the year and we took them all over. It was really good value for money if you like museums and castles and things like that. Thinking about buying the National Trust pass this year.0

Aww thanks for all your advice.
I have just taken my Greyhound out on a 3.5 mile walk. We ended up at the local Pets at Home store-spent half an hour just looking round there and browsing through their Greyhound and Lurcher books!!
 I actually enjoyed not spending!

 Anniek1969,
I can't wait for the Kelvingrove to open up again, should be great. My favourite is the museum of transport and funnily enough my husband likes it too
Will have a look into the Historic Scotland pass, thanks Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 014 Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 014 Lightbulb Moment 12 December 05They may take our lives but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!0 Lightbulb Moment 12 December 05They may take our lives but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!0

scour the streets for brides to be leaving for the church and collect the money they throw out the window for luck- then you are entertained and earn a few pennies.0

or spend saturday in bed leaving kids to trash your house then on sunday clean it up again. Happens in our house all the time even without us staying in bed0

Kids are both away at Uni thank goodness!!! They are both trashing their own rooms now!!! At least I get up to a tidy house these days!
